Guests will be staying in front of the Caribbean Sea, since it is located right on the water five minutes walking to West Bay beach. This location provides peace and tranquility, away from the crowds on the beach.
There is plenty to do on West Bay beach, starting with snorkeling on a reef just yards away from the hotel. This is a white sand beach with very little waves, ideal for swimming. Those who want to explore the island can rent a car in Roatan. Some of the recommended activities include taking a boat tour through the mangrove forest of East End by Jonesville and Oak Ridge. Mangroves are very important for the ecosystem, and these have been around for hundreds of years. Another option is going to Punta Gorda and meeting the Garifuna, which are the original inhabitants of Roatan.
Trip Advisor readers rewarded this hotel with the Traveler’s Choice award in 2019. It is easy to see why, since guests can enjoy their vacation in Roatan laying under the palm trees. Take a dip in the ocean water pool if it gets too hot. There is a swim-up bar to quench your thirst with a cold beer or one of the local specialty cocktails such as Monkey LaLa or Sunset Margarita. The pool has several islands within with sand and palm trees, as well as a slide that looks like it was made from logs.
Three separate decks give Caribe Tesoro plenty of space outdoor. Make sure to be on the deck for sunset, since they are epic. Leña Parilla is the restaurant of the hotel which serves sunset dinners, since it is open from 5-9 p.m. This restaurant is also open for lunch and breakfast, which is included for guests. They serve food from the grill, combining Caribbean, Asian and American dishes. Legendary guitarist Brion James plays every Wednesday night for those who want nighttime entertainment.
