Fantasy Island Beach Resort has a Marina and Dive Center
This resort is surrounded by the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, which is the second largest in the world after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Fantasy Island Beach Resort and Marina is the perfect starting point to get to many of Roatan’s most famous diving sites such as Forty Foot Point, Newman’s Wall, The Valley of the Kings, Missing Link, the Prince Albert shipwreck, and more.
Divers can expect to see fascinating caves, wrecks, colorful corals and sponges, and of course, plenty of fish. Dives can be done from the shore, as well as from the boat. Diving tours include fresh fruit, water and towels. Night dives are also possible. Those that don’t want to dive can also go out on a snorkeling tour.
A PADI Dive center will take certified divers on one of the nine dive boats. Those who want to get certified or want to advance in level can do so during their vacation in Fantasy Island Beach Resort and Marina. The dive center has two classrooms and can certify anybody from beginner to instructor. It is not necessary to bring diving equipment since they can provide divers with weight, tanks, BCD and wetsuit.
The marina can berth up to 35 yachts and sailboats. It is located past the dive center (those who use it get a 20% discount in dives). Fuel, dockage, vessel cleaning, propane delivery and water are available. They offer daily and monthly prices. Those who dock at the marina can use the facilities of Fantasy Island Beach Resort, including weekly activities and entertainment.
