Progressively they have been implementing measurements causing significant changes, while still maintaining the same level comfort for guests. They don’t sell plastic water bottles, instead they sell aluminum water bottles that can be refilled at the snack shop, restaurant and bars.
Most areas of the hotel have LED lights and the water pump works on consumption. They encourage guests to limit water waste by reusing sheets and towels. Cleaning supplies are eco-friendly and anti-allergic. Las Verandas Hotel & Villas has a recycling program that separates plastic, aluminum, carton and glass bottles from the rest of the trash. The hotel is also starting a composting program to lower waste.
